Artist Bio
David Hardy Jr. is a storyteller first and a photographer by craft. As the creative force behind Generation H Photography, he captures more than images; he captures presence, connection, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed but matter most.
Blending an eye for detail with a deep understanding of people, David’s work lives at the intersection of artistry and authenticity. Whether behind the lens at a family session, a leadership event, the expanses of the wild, or a fleeting street moment, he brings a rare ability to make subjects feel seen and then translates that into images that feel both timeless and alive.
He also creates under the pen name Edward Tyler Jr.—a name rooted in legacy, reflection, and creative freedom. Where David shows up as the guide and connector, Edward, his grandfather and the original artist in the family always allowed him to explore the quieter, more introspective edges of storytelling. His conversations with his grandfather helped him understand aspects of life that aren’t always meant to be explained, only felt. Tyler, his wife’s grandmother’s maiden name expresses the pure joy that her grandmother lived with and lived for. The Jr., symbolizes the pride he has in being his father’s son and emboldens him to lead a life that his three children can stand on as they find their paths of self expression. Together, Edward Tyler Jr. is less an alter ego and more an expansion: a way to honor where he comes from while giving himself permission to see, create, and interpret the world without constraint from his grandfather’s paintbrush to his camera lens.
Together, both names tell the same story from different angles: when people are fully themselves, the result is powerful.
